VideoHow to order your ranch box with marinade recipe

OK – it’s time to order your Ranch Box! It’s super easy, and with no minimums or subscriptions required, you can pick and choose from all of the fine local food producers who participate in our Ranch Boxes.

What can I order in my Ranch Box?

Choose from our selection of homegrown beef, lamb, pork, chicken and eggs from our Sinclair Family Farm in Newcastle. Some of our beef and lamb are raised right here in Gardnerville at the historic Storke Dairy we’ve been restoring for the past year. Also, check out the whole chicken bundle from Kennedy Ranch Home-Grown Meats. You’ll also find locally produced jams and honeys from Misbeehaven Farm in Dayton, and Alpen Sierra coffees roasted right here in Minden.

For easy weeknight dinners, check out the pasta sauces and sausages (and oh my word, the breads!) from Liberty Food and Wine Exchange. These guys own the best restaurants in Reno, Carson City and Gardnerville!

Pair your farm-fresh meats with some of Alibi Ale Works‘ finest, brewed with Lake Tahoe water in Incline Village.

How to order a Ranch Box

Here’s a nifty little video to show you how easy it is to order your Ranch Box! Order your box in five minutes or less!

To make the marinade in the photo above

Beer and Honey Marinade

Ingredients

2 (12 ounce) cans Alibi Ale Works beer, your favorite type (We like Kolsch)

1 cup Misbeehaven Farms honey (We like Infused Garlic)

2 teaspoons dry mustard

1 teaspoon chili powder

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 teaspoon salt

2 teaspoons ground black pepper

1 teaspoon rubbed sage

1 teaspoon sugar

Method

Blend all the ingredients and pour the marinade over your choice of meat. Marinate 1 to 24 hours in the refrigerator, turning occasionally.

This marinade is great for grilled chicken, pork spareribs and tri-tip. Try it also on pork chops – the honey caramelizes beautifully!
